One of the funniest things I've ever seen. Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is the three-part story of Dr. Horrible's (Neil Patrick Harris) attempt to create a freeze ray, defeat the "hero" Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion) and win the heart of Penny (Felicia Day). It's sci-fi/comedy musical from the genius of Joss Whedon, and it's only available online this week.

Part 1 is up now. Part 2 comes out July 17 and Part 3 on July 19.

The songs are catchy and the script truly funny. I know there's a lot of Nathan Fillion and Whedon fans on here, so I thought y'all might enjoy.

that was pretty darn funny.

I had seen mention of the project elsewhere but kind of ignored it because of the title. a sing-along blog sounded truly horrible, yet not horrible enough and too cringe-worthy for me to find it funny. but I was wrong.
Nathan Fillion scares me, I have decided. he is okay as Mal but in other roles he scares me.

Capt. Hammer is creepy! creepier than Dr. Horrible! I hope Penny escapes from both of them! not just escapes, but she should have some secret superpower and crush them both! she could be the brilliant mastermind behind the Evil League of Evil and the Good League of Good! hahahaaaaa!

I just hope we get to see Bad Horse, the thoroughbred of sin.

Captain Hammer is very much a tool.

The ending song of Act II made up for all of the awkward do-rama. I also like the Bad Horse songs.

It didn't have a memorably awesome song like the one in the end of Act II, but it was unquestionably Whedonesque. I liked it.

"It's a brand new day/and the sun is high/all the birds are singing/that you're gonna die"

I think it's saying that although as Dr. Horrible he achieved all his dreams, as Billy he's still alone.
