Kevin Martin's latest album has been getting ridiculously good reviews-- most notably from Pitchfork-- and for good reason. Here's
my take

Yeah, don't let the Pitchfork recommendation dissuade you. Good call, Josh.

I just listened to it. It started out kinda weak, but it got awesome after that. Still doesn't beat Burial though.

I don't get the comparisons between the Burial album and this one anyway. Their overall characters are very different, really, but I agree that
Untrue
is unbelievable.
I like the way the first track sets it all up, so I'm not sure I agree with your criticism.

The first track is just really repetitive and doesn't have all that much to say anyways. I've only listened to the album once though, so maybe I'd appreciate it more next time around. Jah War is fantastic though.

The Bug makes Burial sound like easy listening.

^I don't think there's anything wrong with it being more chilled-out anyway.
Isn't that a Pitchfork line, though (it sounds like something they would write)?
*edit*
No, they wrote "This makes Burial sound like Music for Airports."

I didn't want to make a whole new topic for this, but as long as we're mentioning artists such as Burial and The Bug, I'm gonna have to encourage that Flying Lotus - Los Angeles be listened to.
