This is one of my more anticipated albums of the year.  Hissing Fauna was terrific, and I'm hoping SL will be of the same quality despite a somewhat short timespan between albums.

Actually, I'm about halfway through it right now, and... well, I'm not really sure what to say.  It's wierd, even for Of Montreal.  It's fantastic, maybe as good as HFAYTD (some will probably argue it's better), but just really wierd.  Most songs are composed of several mini movements (mostly under a minute), and they cover a lot of territory, some new, some old.  It's a lot to take in, and it will take several listens before I can think about giving it a score, but right now I'm thinking it's going to land a year end top ten spot, at least for a while.

Oh, but if sexual lyrics make you squeemish, stay as far away from this as is possible.

I don't even know if this is fantastic yet because it really is a bit out of left field.  Where HFAYTD pulled me in more or less immediately, I can tell that this might take more time.  I'll give it that, and hopefully, the time I invest in the record will be worth the effort.

Most of the sexual lyrics in this album are just funny to me, and I hope he's trying to be.
