New Jazz Find: Joshua Redman

I've just discovered a thrilling contemporarey jazz musician (apparently, I'm the last to do so; he's already won numerous awards, and has been around since the early 90s). His name is Joshua Redman, he plays saxaphone, and his self-titled album, which I just picked up yesterday, is one of the most exhilirating jazz recordings I've ever heard. Great mix of different moods, outstanding musicianship, and a nice variety of originals and jazz standards. There's even a fun version of James Brown's "I Feel Good."
Anyway, anyone else enjoy this guy? Jazz fans, if you haven't heard him, you MUST check him out ASAP!

I'll check him out, but you misspelled "saxophone"... which disqualifies you as a jazz critic
kidding...

Yeah... he's been around for a while. Although his music can be a little too chill at times...

I've heard a little of him, not to familiar. I plan to kick off my Jazz collection with Kind of Blue, and Dave Bruebecks Time Out. I will probably get one or the other the next time I buy music.

Kind of Blue is the perfect choice, at least in the mind of this relatively new jazz fan.
