Tonight: Franz Ferdinand

Alright guys, I've been listening to MPP over and over with no desire to listen to anything else, but I just popped in Franz Ferdinand's new album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, and man, now I have two albums I'm never gonna be able to put down.  Anything that captures my attention after MPP has gots to be something great, and Tonight is just that; it's got the hooks, the swagger, the catchiness, the singability, the funk, everything.  Seriously, check it out.  The only bad thing about it is that the last two songs kinda wimp out.  They are still good, just not a very fitting ending.

On another note, I'm considering awarding this album with a low 9, which would make it the 3rd nine I've given this month (haven't rated MPP yet, but it will be a high 9).  I usually give out 5 or 6 nines a year.  Incredible start to 2009.

I can't wait for this one to come out. I really enjoyed the first two, and it looks like I'm going to enjoy this one, too.

I've only heard the first radio single and it was one of the worst songs FF has ever done, IMO.  I hope the rest of the album is better.

Which one was that?  Right now my favs are Ulysses, No You Girls and Lucid Dreams (the last of which they changed from the first version they put out, so maybe that's the one you're talking about.)
