Thanks, pholks. I had a relatively low-key birthday on the actual day, but did a fun hike and big dinner out with some friends on Saturday that was sufficient enough to exhaust me for the rest of the weekend. So it was a birthday well spent.

Turning a new age sure seems a lot less significant once you pass 30... I'm not depressed about getting older, but as the years go by I tend to care less about how old I am and more about the fact that it's simply a good excuse to gather a bunch of my friends. I have friends who I have to fight with just to get them to let us arrange birthday celebrations for them. I've vowed never to be so obstinate about it.
