For some, it may be. I would tend to doubt it would have the desired make-out music effect in my relationship. I'm not sure how this relates to what you quoted, though.  Smiley

See, this is why you need to pay attention to lyrics. Track 7 on Katy Perry's album.

(Not that I would blame you for ignoring the lyrics in her case.)

Yeah. It kind of explains a lot, doesn't it?

It actually reminds me of an episode of Chuck where he and Sarah were supposed to pretend they were making out so his sister wouldn't know about the spy stuff they were really up to, and he suggested putting on Arcade Fire's first album because "it's an audio aphrodesiac". And I was like, "Really? I like it, but I think it would kinda spoil the mood to have Win Butler yelping at me like that."

Ben Folds & Nick Hornby - "Levi Johnston's Blues"

LOL - I love this guy. He always had a bit of a college-age wise-ass vibe to him. Yeah, he cusses at times, but I think you'd like him, mur. Here, he's obviously playing a part.

Not sure if this has been working of late (my account expired for inactivity, meaning I didn't log onto the dyndns website itself), but I changed the address. Someone just needs to check to make sure I did it right again. Information on the first page.

I was just listening to it on SoundCloud. I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would.

Back in the days at CMC, Eisley had a ton of fans.  I recognized some talent there but never thought the music was all that great as fans said it would be.

That's actually quite surprising for CMC, as Eisley is not a particularly outspoken "Christian" band. (Talent never seemed to factor into how many fans a band had over there.)

I like Eisley as much as I do because I have a weakness for strong pop melodies and layered vocals, and I prefer to hear that sort of stuff coming from a band rather than a producer's bells and whistles. In terms of instruments, they're competent enough to service the songs, but I wouldn't highlight any of them as being experts at their instruments. I think they write interesting, imaginative songs (moreso on their first record than their second), but since they tend to appeal to my escapist side, I acknowledge that it's not everybody's cup of tea.

Yeah. If it was my link, it would probably still be there since it would get so much less attention.

I was expecting to just wait for the release date on that one anyway. Fleet Foxes too, but that's the one I'm really thrilled to have early.

Put up a rip of Radiohead's "Staircase" if you would like to hear it without having to gawk at Thom Yorke's hair.

The whole thing's on Grooveshark. You'll have to put the tracks in their proper order, not that their proper order makes much sense or anything. (The two most energetic songs are almost at the end of the album, and even those are a bit tame by Incubus standards.)

http://grooveshark.com/album/If+Not+Now+When+www+downloadbox+org+/6406027

I doubt much if any of it will impress you, honestly. On repeated listens, I've found some of the songwriting interesting, but I'm wondering how such a musically talented band could make the conscious choice not just to be down-tempo, but to do so little with the instrumental skill available. I've heard Incubus do mellow songs before that were much more musically interesting.

At the same time, none of these songs are truly horrible. They're mostly the kinds of songs that I'd find acceptable or even slightly good as breathers on more energetic/eclectic Incubus albums. For example, I don't mind "Love Hurts" - it's surrounded by far superior tracks on Light Grenades, but it's still a decent song that I don't mind listening to. I just think they could have done a hell of a lot better than an album mostly populated by decent songs that I don't mind listening to. Who was asking for this? What hit single did they have that prompted a record label to push for them to tone it down for nearly an entire album?

I'll wait until I can get it all in one place. I just don't like listening on my computer much, but thanks. For now, I'll just check out Limp Bizkit's sure-to-be-classic Gold Cobra album.  :P

I do have it up, but I wonder what the future of the pub is? IDK. It just seems there are easier, more riskless sharing solutions available now. Advise.
