So, pretty much a bullshit holiday in el EEUU or no?  I was discussing with my students today, and I still honestly don't know why Americans not directly connected to Mexico or taking Spanish class celebrate it other than as an excuse to drink beer (as if we need one).

Heh, a local radio station said "if you want to celebrate the battle of Puebla"...<insert sound of lots of people going "huh?">..."or are just looking for an opportunity to party on a Tuesday"...<insert sound of people going "yeah!">..."Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow!"
