Thanks, everyone!
It was a good birthday. Sure, I had to work for nine hours of it, but hey-- my wife bought me a Nina Simone box set and took me to lunch, there was some great news from the White Stripes and Roots camps, a DVD screener of the new Juliette Binoche movie showed up at my door, and apparently, the Evangelical Press association gave me an award, meaning that I can now call myself an award-winning journalist without it being ironic!
And that's not even the best part... but I'll say more about that tomorrow, perhaps.
