With the registrar drama I had almost let it slip past until chrisnu's post reminded me: on June 30th, 2003, Josh registered thephorum.net, bought some space and bandwidth from FlockHosting, and paid for an Invision Power Board license.

Thus, today thephorum.net is six years old. Back then, some of our most active members were me, Josh, murlough, and schil; now, well, I guess some things never change Smiley. But I'm glad I got a chance to meet some new phorum phriends in these six years.

Here's to another six!

Heh, well the [H]ardOCP forums have been around since the 90s (and its ofshoot forum, General[M]ayhem, since 2002), and Something Awful was started in 1999, but we're certainly up there.

We have, in addition, been around longer than 4chan, though I consider them less of a forum and more of a wretched hive of scum and villainy.
