OK, remember, you vote for two songs (not the same song twice) from each album. The song that is voted the most loses.
First, the canned from the first round:
Pablo Honey had a three-way tie, each with 1 vote. I don't have a problem with getting rid of these if you don't. Prove Yourself I Can't Vegetable
the Bends had a tie also, each with 3 votes Black Star Bones
OK Computer Fitter Happier
Kid A In Limbo
Amnesiac Hunting Bears
Hail to the Thief I Will
THE REMAINING SONGS
Pablo Honey 9 tracks You Creep How Do You? Stop Whispering Thinking About You Anyone Can Play Guitar Ripcord Lurgee Blow Out
The Bends 10 tracks Planet Telex The Bends High and Dry Fake Plastic Trees Nice Dream Just My Iron Lung Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was Sulk Street Spirit
OK Computer 11 tracks Airbag Paranoid Android Subterranean Homesick Alien Exit Music (for a film) Let Down Karma Police Electioneering Climbing Up the Walls No Surprises Lucky The Tourist
Kid A 9 tracks Everything In Its Right Place Kid A The National Anthem How to Disappear Completely Treefingers Optimistic Idioteque Morning Bell Motion Picture Soundtrack
Amnesiac 10 tracks Pact Like Sardines... Pyramid Song Pull/Pulk Revolving Doors You and Whose Army? I Might Be Wrong Knives Out Morning Bell/Amnesiac Dollars & Cents Like Spinning Plates Life in a Glasshouse
Hail to the Thief 13 tracks 2+2=5 Sit Down Stand Up Sail to the Moon Backdrifts Go To Sleep Where I End and You Begin We Suck Young Blood The Gloaming There There A Punchup at a Wedding Myxomatosis Scatterbrain A Wolf at the Door
We also had some B-Sides nominated, which will be saved for the final pool (do not vote off b-sides at this point). Feel free to add to this list right now. Like Spinning Plates (live from "I Might Be Wrong") Fog Talk Show Host This Mess We're In (not technically a Radiohead song, or a b-side but Thom Yorke prominently guest vocals - it's by PJ Harvey)
When this is over, I will take a tally, of course. I think it'll be safe to take 2 songs off each album in this round except for "Kid A" to even things out a little.
I have to wait and see what to do about "Pablo Honey". If I were arbitrating this album, then these will be on the final: Anyone Can Play Guitar, Creep, Blow Out. If anyone objects to these choices, I won't play dictator with "Pablo Honey".
It only gets harder to give songs the axe from here, but carry on!

The Tourist Electioneering
Treefingers(I like it, but its not really a full song) Kid A
Man, I'm really feeling the sting here, removing these songs. Its like pushing a good friend off a bridge.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:
Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.
Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

OK, here are my votes... disregard what I said in the other thread if I've inadvertently changed anything.
The Bends Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was Sulk
OK Computer Let Down Lucky
Kid A Treefingers Motion Picture Soundtrack
Amnesiac You and Whose Army? Morning Bell/Amnesiac
Hail to the Thief Scatterbrain A Wolf at the Door
BTW, we really should do this with U2 some time. Hopefully we'd get enough folks to play!

BTW, we really should do this with U2 some time. Hopefully we'd get enough folks to play! I don't know, I'm think I'm going to be pretty scarred emotionally from doing this one. By next round, I'm sure I will be crying for the songs we've lost. U2 has an even bigger catalogue, so it would be even harder.

I still don't know what y'all's problem is with "Electioneering". Yeah, it's a jolt compared to the mood of the rest of the album... but at that point it's a much-needed kick in the pants. Radiohead deserves a chance to rock out and let all hell break loose every now and then. Thematically, I think it also fits better than some folks think it does. But I can see how it's gonna get booted eventually, so oh well.

David: I love "Electioneering." It just happens to be my least favorite, but I still regard it as a grade-A song. Re: the lack of love for "Wolf" and "Motion Picture Soundtrack": WAAAAAAAAAAAH! Re: U2: Doing this kind of thing for either U2 or REM would be really, really stressful for me. =) And, finally...my votes: The BendsSulk Nice Dream OK ComputerElectioneering The Tourist Kid ATreefingers Kid A (very tough call) AmnesiacLife in a Glass House Morning Bell/ Amnesiac HTTTWe Suck Young Blood Backdrifts

I really like Electioneering a lot, but it's pretty standard fare on an otherwise ambitiously huge record.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but that's my take on it. Andree, what's your thing with Wolfe. Does it have to do with Yorke attempting the sing-speak Bob Dylan thing? Hey, I like "Backdrifts", too, but I think I like "Wolf" a little more.

Looks like we're saying goodbye to Bulletproof, Sulk, Electioneering, Treefingers, Morning Bell/Amnesiac, and Scatterbrain... the only thing that surprises me here is that Pulk/Pull might live to see Round Three.
We need more contestants, yo.

Lyrically, I think the song is there to represent the individual whom our paranoid android protagonist is out to kill. To me, it seems like more of an essential track than "Let Down" does... but I know I'll get a bit of a fight trying to vote that one off. I like "Let Down"... but aside from "Lucky", I like all of the remaining songs more.
