I was walking through the break room when I saw a small group of people gathered around one of the teevees. It said "breaking news", and it showed a silvery disc floating through the air. I got all excited, thinking "sweet! The aliens are making contact! This will be an historic moment for all of humanity!"

Then it turned out to be something almost as weird but significantly less historic.

Stupid television, getting my hopes up...

Looks like it was staged, and the kid spilled the beans on national television. And apparently a family's wheat crop was destroyed as a result of this.

Yeah, the parents both went to acting school, and the family had been featured on an episode of Wife Swap in the past.  Attention whores!
