You're just not sure where your life is leading? Like you've worked so hard to be where you think God wants you to be, and then you start having doubts?
Anything to think about besides praying?

P.S. By the way, it feels like I haven't been here in ages....lol....oops! It's good to be back, pholks. =D

I think most people have these thoughts at one time or another. Just remember: most people end up just going with the flow, following where their parents, their career advisors, or their peers tell them to go. And sometimes that's a good choice. But here's my opinion: God loves you. Everyone says that. So if God loves you, he wants you to be happy (or at least fulfilled) where you are. So ask yourself if you're happy (not confortable, necessarily, but happy) where you are. If not, try to figure out why. Then try to figure out what needs to be done to make you happy. That's pretty vague, and it gives the (false) impression that happiness is the most important thing in life. But it's the best I can come up with. Now, back to my homework. Boy, am I happy!

welcome back!
I have no idea where my life is heading. not because I've worked hard to be where I think God wants me to be and am now having doubts. seems like so far my life has been a series of going with the flow to do what I think is the right thing to do and then going against the flow to do what I think is the right thing to do. sometimes I think it would be nice to have some kind of goal to work towards, but I don't have one. I try to keep Romans 8:28 in mind.

I have not only one idea about where my life is going, but several. I just don't know which to choose... I guess thats where the praying comes in.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:
Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.
Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

The thing is, whatever you choose, its what God wants. praying is the only way to find the best decision .

The thing is, whatever you choose, its what God wants. praying is the only way to find the best decision . God lets you think about these things, too. We can decide stuff based on our own thinking, reenforced by prayer. There is a balance.

I have pretty big dreams and goals and there have been moments, especially lately, when I have just felt so overwhelmed by it all. But even in the moments of my uncertainties and doubts, there is still something inside of me that knows without a doubt I will be okay, as long as I listen to my Father's instructions.

Good thoughts. I personally don't make decisions, especially huge ones, unless I consult God about it and feel peace about the decision I'm going to make.
So here's a personal question: have you ever made a decision(s) that seemed kinda crazy? Like, it just doesn't make sense but you know that you know that you know that you're exactly in the place in your life where God wants you to be?

Honestly, I always think the most interesting people are the ones that are still searching for the answer to that question. Case in point, one of my friends just left to drive 60 hours to yellowknife in search of becoming a mechanic, possibly to help in missions. Cool, because up till now he wasn't doing anything similar at all. I have no idea what I'll be when I grow up, yet, either. I'll probably say that when I'm 40, though Skraps

sigh... you should read my weblog sometime. Knowing God's plan for my life is something that I really struggle with. I want to have control over my future, and am constantly second-guessing myself because of it. have you ever made a decision(s) that seemed kinda crazy? Like, it just doesn't make sense but you know that you know that you know that you're exactly in the place in your life where God wants you to be? Yes. Long story short: I was lab partners last year with this crazy red-headed kid who still had a touch of ADD left over from his childhood. He had terrible spelling (dyslexia) and I was having trouble with the difficult course material, so we made a great pair. We were lab partners for a whole year, and learned a lot about each other. And somehow, gradually, we started to like each other. I had no idea why...we thought we were polar opposites. He was Catholic, I went to a Mennonite Brethren church. I was kinda quiet and and liked introspective music, he was loud and listened to stuff like Nickelback. When I first realized that I liked him, I told myself I couldn't think about him that way - I didn't think that this would be the kind of guy God wanted for me. Well, as of tomorrow we've been going out for five months. And the only reason is because I felt God pulling me into the relationship. I still have no idea where it's going...but my boyfriend has recently decided to start coming to my church regularly - God works in mysterious ways. And I have learned more in the past five months than I could ever have imagined... God is very confusing, though, so I tend to worry a lot about being on the narrow path God wants me to walk down. I've really had to force myself to accept not knowing what's around the corner. But I'm trying =) .

If you're God's child, rest assured that many paths lie in front of you, but only one behind you. This should be a huge comfort. It's part of my philosophy.
