Toy Story 3, second viewing. Actually last Saturday; I just forgot to post. Made it through with dry eyes this time. It took some effort.
Today, Apollo 13, first viewing. Weird how events that happened 35 years ago still seem like science fiction when you see them depicted onscreen. And this is coming from a guy who sort of works for NASA.

What does the asterisk next to Iron Man 2 signify?

Inception: A Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: A Book of Eli: A- Red: B+ How To Train Your Dragon: B+ Iron Man 2: B- Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore: D I was really hesitant about putting Inception at the top for two reasons: first, because I thought the framework it created for itself was really quite tenuous, and second, because everyone I know told me to go see it and that I would like it, and nothing makes me more contrary than being told I will like something. However, it really was quite a good movie, and it did in fact get top billing. The ratings are, as always, nearly arbitrary and probably not accurate relative to both previous years and each-other (I spent a long time debating whether I liked Scott Pilgrim more, less, or about the same as Book of Eli, Summer Hours, and The Invention of Lying, but I'm still not entirely satisfied that the letter I put beside it represents what it purports to represent. Oh, well). As always, titles of movies are linked to my mini-review.
