Hi, it's been awhile -- but I thought I'd pass this along to the people I thought would be interested (especially since the old haunts are no more)

Quote
"We had released six albums and we had record deals, we were on planes, tour buses, in green VIP rooms. But even though I'm one of those people who actually like music, I was miserable.

"We hit the ceiling in the US very early on. We were in the Christian contemporary music scene, which is basically big fat Americans singing like Eddie Vedder. We were also stuck in the modern worship movement."

In January 2007 Ellis woke up in a depressed state.

"I just said: 'F*** it'. By June my family and I had sold the house and by December it was bye-bye America."

I know I'll be hearing them on the air tonight at work, so this interview will be in my mind when we play them.

"Oh, you meant post-modern. Phew, for a second there I thought it said 'porno Christian,' which made me really intrigued to see exactly what your church's average Sunday service was like." - murlough

It looks like he's gone and done a Derek Webb. The album is very political and has some colourful language.
