Ninja server admin and all-around mensch Chuck asked me today if I was interested in migrating the Phorum account to a new server. It would incur a slight amount of downtime (and a certain amount of work for Chuck), but we might experience fewer blips.

So I'm curious...has anyone experienced phorum connection issues this year? Please feel free to vote even if you're generally a lurker...I'm interested in the experience of the average phorum user, not just the obsessive checks-every-five-minutes Phorumoholic.

(Why wouldn't I just say "yes" right off the bat? Because if nobody's having problems then there's no reason to ask Chuck to do the work. If it ain't broke, fix it until it is. Or something.)

Very rarely, so I went with "no".

I had noticed some downtime off and on in the past few months. I would check with downforeveryoneorjustme to confirm that it wasn't just me but never emailed you about it because it would just be up again after a (relatively) short time.

I haven't seen enough responses to make me want to do the move. Feel free to e-mail me if you notice any downtime, and if the trend gets worse then maybe I'll take him up on the offer after all.
