That wasn't a criticism, just an observation.

Still, I'm aware of the cause and effect.

The entire remix set is out now, and it's pretty hit or miss. I don't know those that I'd call a "miss" are really bad at all (some don't really go anywhere, though), but I think it's better for a remix to bear a passing resemblance to the original at least.

I think I'll "miss" this one.

Since you're saying that, I know I can take it to the bank.

Last night's 1-hour Colbert special is up now, with some web exclusives.

*edit* Leave it to Colbert to crack them all up.

I guess this answers my question concerning why they waited so long to tour behind the album. I'm definitely thinking Amnesiac-like quick follow-up now.

Don't know how I missed this, but the From the Basement special is being released on DVD/Blu Ray, which has everything that aired + "Supercollider" as a bonus (the performance has been ok'ed by the band for youtube when its out, also). It's not an album, obviously, but the performances in the broadcast represent some of the best music of the year.

Further, they are releasing "The Daily Mail" and "Staircase" as a single.

Link for both

Youtube video of the previously unreleased FTB version of "Supercollider". I think it was probably left off the TV special because, while it's good, it's not exactly revelatory seeing as it's essentially the same as the single.

(Also, I'm sure time constraints played as well)

The Daily Mail/Staircase single has been out for about a week. The arrangement is essentially the same as FTB (they were recorded in that session, pretty sure), with a few subtle changes, so if you've heard that, you've pretty much heard these. Still, recommended, kind of (if you have the DVD/Blu Ray, I'm not sure what the point is, and they are a little steep for two songs).
