I thought it would be neat to have a place to post any music-related items that we've recently acquired such as band shirts, posters, drumsticks, guitar picks, etc.

Obviously, save any actual music acquired for the "Recent Music Acquired" topic.

I recently picked up these band and concert posters in a record store in Clearwater, FL. while on vacation:
Lovedrug - Concert promo poster with All the Day Holiday (incorrectly printed as "All And Day Holiday")
The Get Up Kids - Live @ The Granada Theater album promo poster
Haste The Day - Farewell Tour Poster with MyChildre MyBride, The Chariot, and A Plea For Purging.
Between The Buried and Me - The Great Misdirect Tour Poster with Cynic, Devin Townsend Project, and Scale The Summit
The Gaslight Anthem - American Slang album promo poster
David Bazan - Strange Negotiations album promo poster
Thrice - If We Could Only See Us Now album promo poster
Deftones - Saturday Night Wrist album promo poster
Out Last Night - The Ghosts Among Us album promo poster
The Receiving End of Sirens - Concert promo poster with Emanuel and Hopesfall
Sleeping At Last - Ghosts album promo poster
Converge - You Fail Me album promo poster
Converge - Concert promo poster with The Red Chord, Coliseum, and Genghis Tron (This poster is beautiful and in great shape. Stoked to have found this.)
Ra Ra Riot - The Orchard album promo poster
The Appleseed Cast - Concert promo poster
Meg & Dia - Something Real album promo poster
Lydia - Concert promo poster
Thursday - Common Existence album promo/tour poster

I helped fund Falling Up's new project on Kickstarter, so it showed up with a signed cover and a T-shirt.

I used to collect posters - I don't really any more, as it became a pain to hang them all up and take them down whenever I had to move without ruining them, and I couldn't see the point in having them without displaying them.

For a while I was collecting band stickers at concerts to put on my guitar case, because I sort of admire the folks who will whip out a guitar at camp retreats or beach bonfires or whatever and they've got the thing totally plastered with different stickers. I should restart that practice, as I acquired a new guitar this year.

When I used to play guitar, I wanted a hard case so bad so I could put stickers all over it. I never got serious enough about playing to get to the point of buying a nice case. It is very cool to see cases with stickers all over them.

Haha! Sad, but true.  :ρ
Actually, I've been reading this blog that caused me to take a greater interest in band merch, so that's also partly responsible for this topic. But yeah, If my current buying habits keep up, I'll probably post here often.  Smiley

Heh, I just wanted one so I wouldn't have to stress about banging the guitar up when I drag it to hell and back in the trunk of my car.

I don't like putting bumper stickers on my car, so I just end up putting them on my guitar case (whether they make sense there or not).

I don't buy posters or stickers anymore but sometimes you'll get free stuff from some artists when you buy their albums

Yeah, I have a few things that came with albums. A few:

A signed Flaming Lips litho
Radiohead's last album had blotter paper and a newspaper
The Dark Side of the Moon had a poster in it.

Stuff like that. I haven't hung them up, though, because I'm not 17.  :P

I got T-shirt's by Hands and My Epic that arrived with their pre-order packages.
Athletics sent me a T-shirt, stickers, exclusive content download card, and a coffee sleeve with their CD.
Edit: As I was about to throw away what I thought was the empty package that Athletics sent me, I noticed a white piece of paper in the bag. I pulled it out and it was a nicely done, hand-drawn picture of a cat saying, "I can has Athletics". Then over to the side they wrote "Thanks...We're Weird". I love when bands take the time to do things like that for fans.  Smiley
