We've discussed the amazing Peter Gabriel just a bit in the past, but this man deserves his own thread.

Any fans here? Anyone familiar with his music at all?

I'm by no means a Gabriel expert, but So is one of my Top 15 of all time, and "Mercy Street," "In Your Eyes," and "Red Rain" are three of my very favorite songs. Period.

He's also one of my favorite composers; Passion, his instrumental soundtrack to the life of Christ, is an astonishing, powerful record that I play quite a bit when I'm praying or studying.

And Up was the most underappreciated record of last year.

I have So on vinyl, and, yeah, it's pretty great stuff.  All three songs you listed are something else.

Too bad So is marred by the mediocre "Don't Give Up"...

One "meh" track isn't enough to keep it from being a great album, fortunately.

Yeah, I'd still give it an A. It's just unfortunate... if that song was a bit better lyrically, I'd give the record an A+.

I've heard a couple Gabriel albums, Us and Up, and liked what I heard. Up is taking me a bit longer to get into, though.
