Any takers on this film? I dunno, the previews didn't seem that amusing, but the first movie was entertaining, and Luke Wilson is a charming fellow. I'll probably wait for this one to arrive on dVD, as I did with the first one... anyone planning on seeing it in theaters?

I watched the first one with some friends but wasn't really paying much attention so I don't even know if I liked it or not. The second one looks okay but I'm not sure I'd really want to pay 8 bucks to see it.

I saw the first one on the plane to somewhere and thought it was pretty funny. I wanted to see it again but never made the effort. I probably won't make an effort to go see the second one in the theater but will check it out once the library gets it on dvd.

I'll probably wait and rent it, but I do want to see it. Wasn't a big fan of the first one, but I'm a big Reese Withersthingy fan.

Muahahaha! You cannot escape!

I'm not too interested in seeing LB2, though I haven't seen the first one. The previews looked funny, but not "funny and I want to see this movie" funny, but "funny though I'm not going to see this movie" funny. It would be a good one to see on an airplane or bus ride, though, since I doubt it will require much in the way of cerebral activity... ^_^

And its filtered because of an obscure meaning like that?  Reminds me of the paintball forums that filter "cock" as in "cock the marker".  All sorts of confusion.

Ok, here's the story:

On the old forums (which have been converted to f-orums because this one is so much cooler  B) ), there was a naughty word filter that grabbed pretty much every conceivable inappropriate word, including ones that most of us hadn't even heard of (being the young innocents that we were at the time). Both 'cock' and 'po on' were converted to 'thingy,' so Charlie Peacock became Charlie Peathingy (which sounds WAY worse than the original), and sp oon became sthingy.

Josh (because we believe strongly that strictly enforced censorship is not conducive to intelligent discussion) disabled this filter, but he kept the po on =] thingy one on just for kicks. So on this new phorum, I decided to enable it, just to stir things up a bit. It adds a (generally unanticipated) degree of humor at times, and fits my own warped sense of humor just fine. So unless it bugs Josh enough that he turns it off, we will eat from sthingys.

I'm not sure whether we finally figured out what the word in question meant, but I think it's an anatomical reference. Let's leave it at that...

That sucks...

That means I'm not going to be able to use my favorite word 'harthingy.'

 Sad

Well, er, if you do feel a burning need to have the word itself show up, the filter is pretty basic. I'm pretty sure that spo on, spo.on, and spoon all work....

(That last one looks like this:
Code:
sp[U]o[/U]on
)

In fact...let's try something...spoon. Muah.

Code:
sp[SIZE=3]o[/SIZE]on

If you REALLY want to have it look normal, the above will work.

And this end's Vlad!'s session on how to get around text filters for bad words...

I saw it.  If you liked the silly comedy in the first one, you'll definitely enjoy this one as well.  I generally dislike dumb/silly/corny comedies, but Withersthingy's character cracks me up in that she shrugs off all the bad hype.  She's not afraid of being the dork, and I guess that's why the movie works.
