Yes, but still a good album IMO.  The critics were a little insane about it, though, I'll give you that.

Oh, I'll go with that. I've heard so many people raving about it like the White Stripes are the next Beatles, but it's just a different little album with it's own sort of flair. I like. I will lend it to ya, Special_K... Wink

I can't even think of "Special K" anymore.  I know it's a cereal, but it's also a code-name for a date rape drug apparently.  Spooky stuff.

Enjoy the lessons from a squirrel!

The squirrel has taught me much about how to properly store nuts without damaging them.

Tip number 1: play hockey wearing protection.

You've outdone yourself. A whole two thoughts,

Anyhow, listen to the CD. You will, I trust, understand then.

"for janet, hope came from her faith, but it also came from a squirrel..."

i like elephant alot, but i agree with bethany. my favorite of theirs is white blood cells, which i recently have misplaced in some mysterious location, much to my frustration.

check dad's cd holder thingie....maybe it was in my car when they took it to colorado or something. i checked here in my dorm, and i don't have it. sorry.  huh

i almost bought a white stripes poster today, but then remembered that i don't have enough money to be buying posters just because they're cool. so i bought 'ohio' and the 'lost in translation' soundtrack intead. hehe.

Dorm life is great when you have "White Blood Cells" to help you out.

I keep hearing about the White Stripes. Yet, I do not have any of their music in my collection. Maybe it was the whole "next Beatles" thing. That's what turned me off at first about Coldplay being the "next U2". Though I like 'em a lot now.

It's times like these when I feel very much out of the loop. *Sigh*  Sad

i don't get the white stripes comparison to the beatles at all (haven't heard it before now). except i guess that they're rock'n'roll....but yep, that's about the end of the comparisons in my mind.

Well, obviously the Beatles were the most influential band ever, hands down. But that doesn't mean a band has to sound like 'em.

I think I've heard that before somewhere, before Skraps mentioned it. I remember at my high school that ppl were into The White Stripes and The Hives and the like. I've mainly heard that TWS is simple good ol' rock 'n' roll (whatever that is  Wink).

It actually sounds a lot like rock rhythms and guitars with punk vocals, to be honest.

I wouldn't know. I've never listened to 'em. But you seem to have a good ear, Skraps. I guess I can trust you.   Wink

Just about everyone I know that's listened to WBS or E by TWS has liked it/them. Great music, really. And Elephant is better than WBS.

Ah okay. I'll have to pick up a copy. And isn't WBS "White Blood Cells" with a "C"? Shouldn't it be WBC?  Wink  (I'm just picking on you.)
