I noticed reference to this site.  Is it connected to the ccm magazine?

No relation between us and CMC, us and CCM, or CMC and CCM. And let's keep it that way, eh?  =)

My question was more about the content of the cmcentral site.  Does it contain music reviews?  And not just music reviews but those that do not just praise a product for being "christian". For some reason it wont  work on my server

It differs in that all the reviews are done by one person, Mr. Robin Parrish.  I think he's a little easy on albums, but I can't fairly make the accusation that he'll give something a good review just because it's Christian.  I like reading what he has to say.

I pay attention to his reviews, although I think he's gratuituously gushy about some artists that frankly don't deserve the praise. And his marks are too consistantly high to actually take the score itself seriously. And I frequently disagree with his words. But I still read the reviews, even though I most likely won't buy any of the product he constructs giant neon signs for.

Does anyone else here like Robin's interviews better than his reviews?  (that's basically where I'm coming from)

He's a great interviewer and a not so great reviewer, in my opinion.

He's a good writer, but a nondescript critic.  He doesn't give concrete examples to support specific claims about an album, so yeah.

His interviews are good, but he should trim some of the fat sometimes.  They tend to be a little drawn-out at times.

Peace out,
Andree
