Yup, Thats what I titled my short story. Stupid, huh? Yup thats what I think. pretty sad, strange, and depresing story too... I hope you all hate it when I finish it, that way i'll win the writing contest =D . The best part about it is the title. i'll post it on here when i'm done editing it.

Some people read my farce of a potty training manual...and some people read my essay and observations on the Large Milkweed Bug (Oncopeltus Fasciatus). I guess that means some people will read anything.

I will read papers on milkweed bugs and a story called "The..." and nearly all the posts at this honorable phorum but I draw the line at romance novels.  :X

I haven't experienced the (apparent) horrors of said romance novels, but I've read enough hearsay that I can guess how cheesy they are.

I've never even considered reading a romance novel. To touch such an object would be a disgrace.

I've watched some crappy Drama/Romance movies in my time (hmm...I can't think of any offhand that weren't at least slightly comedic as well, though), so maybe I have an idea.

"cheesy" hasn't the depth to describe the experience of reading a romance novel.

It's something like being trapped in a dungeon, strapped to a bed, rats running around your feet, a gigantic pit in the middle, and a razor-sharp pendulum swinging above you.

My, that was original.

Only he would have a half-ripped-open white frock on, with rippling chest muscles and long flowing blond hair.

i can't even stand to look at the covers of romance novels, usually graced by a title that contains the words "desire" or "love," and an amateurish painting of a scantily clad supermodel with a barechested guy who would qualify for "mr. universe." :P

Well, considering I can't actually see it, it's hard to guess, but I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. It's a picture of Harenil (the Welman guy), isn't it?

Yeah. The word limit for the contest is 600 and that is like 550 or something.. so, what did you think of it? Oh, yeah, and my avatar is a pic of an r2d2 action figure while looking through a scope... Why the heck did you think it could be Harenil?

When I posted, your avatar wasn't working, so I just had to guess. And since you posted on your "The..." thread I thought it might have something to do with your story. And I know that you use that Harenil pic in your sig in other forums.

Well, the whole appearing Harenil thing and the sudden introduction of the Welman guys would probably throw some people for a loop. I know who he is though, so I knew what was happening.

If his avatar says that he has a weak mind, what does yours say? That you have serious self-confidence issues. Either that or the other side, you have some serious pride issues.
