I've heard of 38th Parallel, but none of the others. I've been wanting to try them out, but my library doesn't have their cd, and I don't want to just go out and buy it not knowing whether I will like them or not.

38th Parallel ain't bad. I like their lyrics. The execution could use some work at times. They sound like Linkin Park sometimes, but I don't think they're the LP ripoff some people (including my former self) labeled them as. One thing's for sure - they need a better producer next time out. And they need an album that lasts longer than half an hour. Anyway, poke around The Base a bit and you'll find my review of their album.

Yeah, bummer about that. Chalk it up to Squint's lack of a budget. Though I also suspect their guitarist could stand to be more creative and their drummer needs a new kit.

I wonder how they are live...
