There were a lot of quality movies this summer, and unless you're lucky to live right next to a theater, you probably haven't seen all of them. What movies WOULD you have seen if you had the time, inclination, and money but didn't see because you didn't?

Mine are Finding Nemo and Bruce Almighty. These are similar in that I heard good things about both, was less-than-impressed by the trailers, and just didn't ever find the time to go see. Also, I decided to pass on Hulk, though I feel I would have been disappointed with that one.  Anyone else miss some potentially good flicks?

I don't really feel like I have.  I have heard almost nothing good about the new Matrix movie, and nothing else really had any interest for me.  Its always "Want to see a movie?", then I say "No, unless ROTK is out early."  Nothing else looks near as good as the LOTR movies.  *sighs*  Kind of sad, actually.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:

Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.

Chuck Norris can divide by zero.

Finding Nemo is the only summer movie I've seen so far this year. Nothing that has come out all year long has really looked all that great to me. In my opinion, this has been a slow year for movies.

I think it's been a great year for movies... or maybe my movie viewing has just increased, but here's my list that I STILL want to see:

Phonebooth
Matrix
Nemo
Bruce Almighty

I kinda want to see Phonebooth (Colin Farrell, cough cough). I decided that I will see Bruce Almighty one of these days but I dunno if I will make an effort to see it in the theater or just wait till its on dvd.
I want to see Pirates and T3 and X2 but I haven't seen the first 2 Terminators yet or the first XMen.

I'm dying to see Phone Booth. Seems like such a cool concept, and yeah... Colin Farrell.

There are so many movies I want to see, but unfortunately our theater sucks. Only in Erwin would Dumb and Dumberer be held over two weeks. I still want to see The Hulk, Alex & Emma, Pirates of the Carribean, and I'll admit I'm looking forward to the Jennifer Lopez/Ben Affleck movie (the name escapes me).

X-Men was good. Seeing one isn't necessary for the enjoyment of the other, but I'd recommend seeing both just on general principle :D

Can't say I'm looking forward to T3. I'd like to see The Matrix sometime, not because I think it will be worthwhile, but because it's such an influential movie (I think the first one was more so than this one) that as a reviewer I should be familiar with it...

And yeah, I feel your pain about RotK...I thought Two Towers was OK, but I hope Jackson can bring himself to stick to the plot for the most part. We can be pretty positive that the Scouring of the Shire has been cut out, but I'm sure he'll come through in a big way.

This summer has seen, if nothing else, the best of the superhero movies to come out to date. As for dissing the entire year, well, you're entitled to your own opinion, but *I* think you should see more movies  B)

Possibly. But none of them have really floated my boat. How can a movie be good if the princess doesn't enjoy it?!?!  Wink (I'm really not this shallow, honestly)

ew, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.  wacko

I hadn't realized till today that Claire Danes is in T3. I've seen a couple movies that she's been in (Little Women and Les Miserables) and liked her. since T3 is a totally different sort of movie, I'm curious.

I saw The Italian Job today and it was excellent. My favorite movie of the summer (and year) thus far. (That I've seen, of course.)

Thanks for sticking to the topic...

Just kidding Wink I thought it looked interesting, but I'm surprised that it was good enough to be dubbed "best movie of 2003 that Jess has seen to date" (obviously a major award)

Ahhh, but it is on-topic because you haven't seen it and obviously had the chance to, so that brings yet another film in question to the conversation!  =D

I haven't seen a terribly large amount of movies this year, but many more than I have in the past, which may not be saying a lot in comparison to other people. Anyway, The Italian Job wasn't complicated at all and probably not terribly original, but I'm not sure I care yet. (Ask me tomorrow.) I like it better than Finding Nemo, bite my tongue.
