I try out alot of new music by getting it from the library. So, on my latest trip, here is what I got: Bob Dylan,Love and Theft Laryn Hill,The Miseducation of Laryn Hill Led Zeppelin,How the West was Won Willie Nelson, best of
So, here is what I thought after listening to each: Bob Dylan: I hadn't ever heard any of his music before, believe it or not. Hearing it now, I'm not to impressed. His voice doesn't appeal to me, and the record seems a little monotonous. I was expecting something more like Steve Earle(check him out if you haven't heard of him). Oh well, maybe it will grow on me.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:
Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.
Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

(cont. )[Why can't I post large posts!?!] Laryn Hill: I decided to be open-minded, and try out a hip-hop CD. This disc has by no means converted me, but I must say that it certainly is interesting, with its scripture references, and such. One thing, the copy I have has the f-word in the lyrics sheet, but it doesn't appear in the song(blanked out). Do I have an edited copy, or is this normal?
Led Zeppelin: Now this is impressive! Amazing, amazing versions of the songs, great solos, tons of energy. I must buy this as soon as I have to return it to the library. If all live shows are this amazing, I must go to some.
Willie Nelson: Well, in truth, I haven't listened to the whole thing yet. We'll wait and see, but this was another "open mind" thing.
So, there you go.

Love and Theft is one of the finest CDs ever made. Dylan is the single greatest pop musician of all time, and this one is his best work.
The songwriting on that album... woooooo boy! Dylan is still talking about the same things he was on Time out of Mind: The world is all wrong, women are all wrong, and Dylan's got one foot in the grave. On Love and Theft, though, he tackles these subjects with more complexity, humor, and energy than he has....ever. He tells a knock-knock joke, lifts a pun from Groucho Marx, makes some of the worst puns you've ever heard, and plays just about every style of American music there is. A masterful album!
...and also an album that has to grow on you. I hated it at first; now it's one of my all-time favorites.

Ok, I'll give it another listen. I wasn't sure what to think about OK Computer when I first heard it, and now I'm calling it the best album of the 90s!

I should probably add the following afterthought: Dylan's voice cracks and groans on that album quite a bit; it's a far cry from the powerful performance he gave on Time Out of Mind, and as such, I can totally understand you not liking the vocals, though I don't have any problems in that area myself. But I'm a big Dylan fan, so I'm biased.
