  • Making hand gestures and saying 'quote' when denoting spoken quotation marks
[li]Pointing at your wrist when you ask me for the time. Do you point at your crotch when you ask where the bathroom is?
[li]People who use excessive phonetic abreviations (i.e. 'ru' for 'are you') in e-mails, posts, etc.
    [li]Non-ergonomic keyboards
[li]When you make a good point in a debate and then the other person goes off on a tangent, ignoring your good point (I've probably done this a few times, so maybe it's unintentional rolleyes)
[li]Foreign objects in the peanut butter, jelly, etc.
[li]Watch bands and belts that are too loose on one notch but too tight on the next
[li]When I say something that could be considered inappropriate, people who care more about the potentially inappropriate part than the value of what I said
[li]People who make hugely long lists of things that annoy them, and then they do half of those things themselves without realizing it

If you don’t have freedom as a principle, you can never see a reason not to make an exception. There are constantly going to be times when for one reason or another there’s some practical convenience in making an exception.

A great list, Vlad!

In Ohio, I came to the following conclusion: People who talk on their cell phone while they're driving all the time are of the devil. If you are ever in a car accident because you were too busy talking on your phone to drive properly, then you deserve to die for all I care. It's a CAR, people, not a freakin' phone booth.

I am also annoyed to arrive home, see that I have exactly 100 new e-mail messages, and then find that 99 of them are spam (big thanks to Nathan Hall for sending me my only worthwhile e-mail while I was gone!).

People who masterbate big words into conversation even when they don't really know what they mean.

People who call, IM, or approach you and act like they care about conversing with you when in fact they really just want to get some information out of you about their ex-girl/boyfriend, crush, etc.

In retrospect, this was probably a poor thread to start my day off with... now I'm all mad...  Wink

True dat! It bothers me when people are yakking away. It bothers me even more when people eat (more potential for accident) or smoke (nasty smell, plus they litter their butts on the road) whilst driving. Actually, smoking just bothers me, period.

I took that out of my signature since my mom saidit offended her. Actually, that was part of the reason I included #8 in the list above...

Can't say this has ever heppened to me, but I just hate it in general when people contact me with an ulterior motive in mind. Actually, I don't mind that as much as I mind it when they pretend to care about the conversation (as you say) when really they're just using it to get me to do something for them...

Fake people. No, not mannequins, people who pretend to be someone they're not, especially if they are only this way around you. Why the heck do you need to be someone you aren't? Contrary to popular belief, I like pretty much everyone (except Vlad!, dirty Fight Club hater.) Why can't you be yourself? This annoys me to no end.

I think people who are offended by the words "sucks" and "crap" are at the top of my list; well, right behind people who get on my nerves.

People who will not be open minded.  Actually, I don't hate the people, I just hate that trait.  Using the word "like" to much irritates me, as do stupid rap songs and rappers.

hmmm ok! here's a couple of my pet peeves:

*drivers who drive waaaaay slow when they make a right turn, and only turn on their turn signal AS they make the turn

*when i'm watching a movie or something and the person next to me overly exaggerates trying to chew quietly and thats all i can think about.. i can't even focus on the movie.. hehe

*people who constantly talk gossip or just talk about themselves and never listen

*judgmental people..

and a new one that bothered me tonight while waitressing!:

*people who talk on their cell phones the entire time i take their order, serve their food, check back with them, ask about dessert, etc. that drives me CRAZY.. ahhh i end up having to use eye contact only  [_[

that's all i can think of right now!   Shocked

Got a lot of really annoying stuff here :D

I hate it when people bring little kids to movies that aren't suited for little kids. That really bothers me.

People who drive really slow, period.

People who, when I am already violating the speed limit by a good 10-15 mph, tailgate me.

I hate it when people criticize my writing but don't say what they specifically think is wrong with it or how I can improve it.
