Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a movie which all guys seem to love, but girls seem to hate. Do you find this to be true? Any females out there who don't like this movie, please explain why. Guys, just post your favorite lines.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:
Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.
Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

I watched it because so many people love it and quote from it...and although I laughed the first time I saw it, I didn't even crack a smile the second time around and fell asleep before the killer rabbit.

Oh, gosh, I haven't seen it in ages, but I like the way the Python troupe can playfully mock Christians without ever being disrespectful to Christ.
Favorite line? Well, gee, I dunno... I sure do enjoy the French guys on the wall...

That whole scene is great, with its highly logical yet hilarious dialogue.

As a friend of mine once said, Monty Python would be funnier if a whole subculture hadn't been formed around quoting it...
I think parts of it are funny, but some of the crude humor doesn't sit well with me. There are some funny lines, though.
'You must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest wiiiiiiiiiiith....a herring!'
'We are no longer...the knights who say ni. We are now the knights who say Ikky ikky ikky ikky whapoing zoom-ping'

I call 'em like I see 'em. Monty Python, much like the Austin Powers movies, Spaceballs, and many other parody/comedy movies all have emminently quotable lines, so much so that sometimes I feel that I can quote every funny line in a movie I haven't even seen just by listening to my friends. But hey, they wouldn't get quoted if they weren't funny. Everything in moderation, though

hey! I'm a female and we watched in German class one time ( no, it wasn't even a German version...we just watched it because the substitute brought it in) and I thought it was hilarious. my personal favorite parts have to be the killer rabbit and the part in the forest where the guy says "it's only a flesh wound." maybe if I would've seen it more, I might be able to quote it. but...sorry kids, can't join in on the quoting.

Don't remember that part at all, actually. Like I said, it's been a while since I've seen it, so take all my contributions to this thread with a grain of salt.

Er, I thought all they said regarding the falling wooden rabbit was "run away" There was the part with the giant puppet-looking 'God' that I interpreted as being fairly blasphemous. And the 'temptation of Sir Galahad' was kind of raunchy...

I am a female and I totally despise the movie. I can't really say why though. I'm not a comedy fan to begin with and...I don't know, that movie was just plain stupid, in my opinion. We had to watch it in honors tenth grade english class and I couldn't believe that most of the people in there were actually laughing at the movie. I guess I just didn't understand it or something. Anyways, it's at the bottom ratings of my list of movies I've ever seen.

IP: [ 152.163.253.38 ] Wow, Becky and Kelli have remarkably similar IP addresses...they must use the same ISP! Ok, that nerdy observation aside, I'd have to say that MPATSFTHG, as I shall call it, is (much like other comedy/parody movies) for some people but not for others. Crude jokes, intense punnery, mind-numbing stupidity, and a plot that essentially goes nowhere can lead to some laughs, but nobody's going to be nominating it for awards due to its artful execution...

Monty Python!!!!!!!! =D My favorite scene is with the prince who keeps trying to turn the whole thing into a musical. I also love one of the earlier scenes that has a lot political satire. Hee hee. "I'm being repressed! I'm being repressed!" --Afroboy
