Not a bad article. FotF actually sometimes puts out some good stuff, though it's kind of like a Heinlen book: you gotta put up with the ranting if you want a decent read. But yeah, it made some interesting points. Tolkien himself comments that his Catholic beliefs are evident in the book. I certainly agree, though I argue that it's not because of any allegorical nature (or even an intentional nature) of the book, but rather because both the Christian faith and (admittedly to a lesser degree) Tolkien's books are applicable and contain elements of life in them. Christianity is truth, of course, and LotR is fiction, but that's how I look at it.
