I guess they're suing all they can since they aren't making money off their excuse for an album.

..in other news, Melissa Rockwell, the daughter of painter Norman Rockwell, is suing little-known artist Hugh Dent for his combined use of the colors 'Red' and 'Beige.' "I feel that this specific combination of colors has become one of my father's trademarks," Rockwell commented, adding that "everybody associates these colors with Rockwell. For this other guy to use them in this way is a clear violation of his property rights." Also jumping on the bandwagon is John Grisham, suing author Aaron Allston for the misuse of his trademark words "litigation" and "computational."

This is just getting ridiculous. (For your peace of mind, I made the above news clip up as a satire)

If you don’t have freedom as a principle, you can never see a reason not to make an exception. There are constantly going to be times when for one reason or another there’s some practical convenience in making an exception.

Fun facts about Chuck Norris:

Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.

Chuck Norris can divide by zero.

Chuck Norris CAN believe it's not butter.

I got it off of MTV.com, so I assume it's the real deal. As far as I know, they're not in the habit of publishing satire. It is hard to believe, though, isn't it?

Actually... scratch all that. I found a couple of other sites that link to the above story, and they say it's a joke. MTV didn't clearly mark it as such, but I really should have known. Surely noone is really that stupid!

The Supertones used one of Metallica's opening guitar riffs which is much more than just two chords and no body cared.

It's expected that a CCM group borrows heavily from famous non-CCM counterparts.  ph34r

While we're at it, Creed should sue all bands that sound like them. Only problem is they'll have to give the money back to Pearl Jam.

Oh, and Bill Gates should sue everyone who uses the numbers '0' and '1'.

Good, I didn't think anyone would be that stupid.

Actually, the worst part is that people ARE that stupid on occasion, so much so that we were willing (though dubiously) to believe this story...

Of course, it was much more believable because it was Metallica...

I'll admit they had me going for a few seconds. Honestly, I wouldn't have been that surprised if it were true. I would have just been amazed that (a) they didn't do it sooner, and (b) they didn't go after other bands that ripped off three or more chords from them first.
